UAE’s new Jaywan cards to be given from September-ATMs-retail location
The UAE’s new payment card system, Jaywan, is set to hit two major milestones by the end of August. This progress comes just ahead of the scheduled roll-out of the Jaywan card to customers, which is expected to begin by the end of the third quarter, with significant growth in adoption projected for the fourth quarter.
By late August, over 90% of point-of-sale (POS) terminals across the UAE will be equipped to process transactions using the Jaywan card. Furthermore, around 95% of ATMs nationwide have already been upgraded to handle Jaywan-based withdrawals and related services, ensuring smooth functionality for the system.
The UAE’s own domestic payment infrastructure will be further strengthened as both POS terminals and ATMs fully adapt to accept Jaywan cards. The network of ATMs in the country is now completely ready to accommodate this new system, marking a significant shift in the nation’s payment ecosystem.
As the Jaywan system continues to roll out, banks are expected to begin issuing these cards to customers by the end of the third quarter, setting the stage for broader adoption and increased usage throughout the fourth quarter.
The expansion of Jaywan will make the UAE’s payment systems more seamless and secure, offering customers enhanced transaction capabilities and furthering the country’s vision for a cutting-edge financial infrastructure.
The new Jaywan card system will play a critical role in driving digital payments across the UAE, and with 90% of retail terminals prepared to process payments, the system is poised to revolutionize the nation’s financial landscape.
By the end of August, both ATMs and POS systems will be fully integrated into this homegrown payment solution, helping to ensure a smooth transition to Jaywan cards for UAE consumers.
